Thank you for highlighting the role of WHCA Prez, Weija Jiang. It may be worth asking a specific question about what impact her role as a CBS correspondent had/has on her decisions relative to the President. Given his takedown of CBS it would seem to some, at least, to ask that.

Leni, thank you for reading H4D and for your insightful comment. The actions of the correspondents at the dinner following the chaos is absurd at best, reckless at worst. They all acted 'as if' this was a normal administration in their repeating, ignoring the fact that this regime has taken a wrecking ball to legacy media and the First Amendment. Just look at the events within 24 hours; the 60 minutes interview, Melania calling for Kimmel's firing, indicting Comey for a seashell Instagram post. We have to pay attention to the broader patterns and do everything we can to vote this regime state by state and at the national level. Thank you for all you do.

"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent."

Get up, dust yourself off, and get involved. This week I went to a congressional district 4 forum in Whitestown, I trained to be a poll worker and helped 25 or so folks vote in Tippecanoe County. I'm moderating the Hoosiers Against Braun group on FB and helping Heartland Democracy Project, the county party and campaigns to replace both Jim Baird and Ron Alting. If you're mad as hell, then, by God, don't take it anymore!

Malcolm, thank you for reading H4d and all that you are doing in Indiana. I have long said that 'rigged states' are laboratories for authoritarianism, and Indiana has lead the way for the past 20 years. The Indiana Democratic party is no help, they are a calcified party that has no vision except to maintain the status quo. We need to reform the party and vote to end the supermajority stranglehold that MAGA has in our General Assembly. Thanks for all you are doing. H4D is very connected to the Rural Summit and working with Michelle Higgs to empower rural voters and build a big tent coalition across the rural counties in southern Indiana. The people have the power, let's use it! We are all in this together.
